We think it’s time you met one of the best administrators in the business! Devon!
What makes you passionate about working with Mercury Matrix?
I enjoy working with the people here and hitting goals together as a squad. It’s always a good feeling to have friends at the place where you build a career and I’m always learning something new! No day is ever boring!
Why do you think potential candidates should join the Mercury Matrix team?
I think it’s important that when you wake up 10 or 20 years from now that you can say with perfect honesty that you not only like what you do for a living, but that you believe in it. It’s more of a career, something that will only help you grow, rather than hold you back. I think that unlimited growth and opportunity is something that has to be shared and I want as many people as possible to have that!
What are the benefits of working with Mercury Matrix?
Learning something new! We are always investing into our team! It’s not very common to work with a company that will encourage you to always keep developing, not just as a professional, but as a human being. I also love the fact that we give back to the community by organizing various philanthropy events. Those two examples showed me that the culture was always striving for bigger and better things which really attracted me to start with Mercury Matrix
Tell us 1 professional and 1 personal goal.
A professional goal is to help three people progress into management this year. My personal goal is to have my first novel published within that same time!
What is it like working with the President of Mercury Matrix?
The I love about working with Julian the most is the free communication. He was the first person in a management role that I truly respected. More importantly, he showed that he respected me, not just with my time, but also with my questions and need to always learn more. He took the time to learn my strengths and weaknesses and also helped me come up with a plan to make me a better version of myself.
How would you describe your company culture?
Full of energy! It feels good knowing that you are surrounded by people that want to succeed as much as you do.
What is a frequently asked question and answer?
I get asked about whether or not experience is necessary. I think the beauty of our industry is that we need every person’s individual experiences, whether they got them through work or through life. Everyone has different approaches and when you have an organization full of people from all walks of life, that’s what keeps us growing strong.
Tell us a little about yourself! Where are you from? What was your college/major? Where would we find you on the weekend?
I’m originally from Las Vegas! I studied Orchestra performance and Japanese and I have a really big background in writing, the arts, sciences, and language. Any given Sunday, I like brunch, if there’s no football going on. I play video games in my spare time, I’m a pretty big Nintendo fan! My DS and a writing journal are always in my purse.
What superpower would you have (besides your amazing administrative powers)?
I always really liked telekinesis as a super power. You can see what other people are thinking and making things move around other people would be an awesome prank.
